StudyBattle ("we", "us", or "our") is a flashcard study application available on web and mobile. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information via Google Sign-In: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password or access to any other Google data.
• Flashcard decks: The flashcard decks you create or upload are stored locally on your device. If you are signed in, your decks may be synced to encrypted cloud storage so you can access them across devices.
• Usage preferences: Settings such as theme and study mode preferences are stored locally on your device and may be synced to your account.

How We Use Your Information

• To identify your account and enable sign-in.
• To sync your flashcard decks and preferences across your devices.
• To manage your subscription status (if you are a Pro subscriber).

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose not listed above.

Data Storage and Security

Synced data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States, encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using HTTPS. Each user's data is isolated — you can only access your own data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Service providers: AWS provides our cloud infrastructure. They process data only as necessary to operate the service.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Children's Privacy

StudyBattle is a general-audience application. Sign-in is optional — the app is fully functional without an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

You may at any time:

• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• Export your flashcard decks directly from the app (CSV format).
• Use the app without signing in — no account data is collected in this case.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
